Skills I'm Working On in 2021

I am passionate about continuously improving myself, because I think learning is a life-long journey. There are millions of incredible things to learn in the world and I'm interested in a lot of them. Each year, I try hard to create a narrow list of things I can learn. Here are the things I am focusing on in 2021, in order of priority.

1. Learning how to learn new skills (quickly). It is a vital skill to succeed in our fast changing economy. It is also fun to discover new ways of thinking about thinking.
2. Being a creator and a builder. I want to shift my life from being an consumer (such as watching TV, eating out at restaurants a lot), to becoming a producer (creating new things, bringing together different things in new ways).
3. Writing. Having focused mostly on math since high school, I haven't spent enough time improving my writing skills. In 2021 I will be devoting more time and energy to developing my unique style of writing.
4. Art. I've been sporadically drawing characters over the last couple of years. I think it would be great to consistently work on this skill so I can see the progress over time.
